Blacktail Deer
HarvestWild deer hunts take place on a 5,000-acre ranch 20 miles East of Redding. We offer both trophy and management buck hunts. Blacktail deer are elusive and one of the toughest species to consistently harvest. They are one of our favorite big game animals to hunt. To harvest one is to provide food for family and friends all year long as well as make memories to talk about around the campfire/dinner table forever. HarvestWild will use spot and stalk tactics to get close to these wary animals. Please note, the terrain can be rugged in some areas. Field dressing is included; however, we do invite and encourage you to be involved in this process or fully do it yourself with our guidance. Check regulations for season open and closing dates.
Be prepared for your hunt
- Hunting License and Deer Tag for the zone
- Rifle or Archery
- Face mask, gloves, and full camo apparel is mandatory
- Sturdy boots you can hike in all day
- A heavy duty blanket for your harvest
- A backpack with backup emergency gear
- No alcohol
