California is oak trees! Come to learn how to turn their gift of acorns into delicious meals, using tools in any kitchen. This class is fun, intensive, and hands-on. Wild food educator Wolfgang Rougle will take you through the whole process, creating several sweet and savory acorn recipes as you participate. Lunch is provided and you'll take home a jar of processed acorns to use at home. Along the way, you'll also learn about scouting for the yummiest acorns, caring for oak trees, human-oak history, and oak woodland ecology. Come to change the way you look at an oak tree forever!
